While we do accept same day reservations, it is recommenced to book your appointment in advance to assure you receive the treatment you want and the preferred time. To accommodate your desired appointment a credit card is required at the time of booking to guarantee your reservation. Gift Certificates may also be used in lieu of a credit card to hold your appointment. We hold this information as part of our cancellation policies. *Details of our cancellation policy are provided below.

Although we offer planned spa packages for your convenience, you are welcome to combine any of our spa and salon services for a custom package that meets your needs.
We ask for your email address to send you a confirmation of your services to review and a reminder email 24 hours prior. Text messages are also available.
We request that you arrive 15-20 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. First time guests are asked to fill up intake forms for the therapists to know a bit about you. Early arrival allows you to relax before your treatment and assures the maximum time in your service. Robes are provided with 2 or more services or upon request.
Should you run late for your reserved treatment, please notify us. We will certainly do our best to accommodate your treatment, although it may need to be shortened to ensure we remain on time for following guests.
While we offer wonderful services and use top grade products, please note the space does not allow for saunas or steam rooms. You are welcome to sit and relax in the lounge after your treatment, enjoy a meal at Restaurant 1915 or take in the scenic view of the outdoor park.
Your spa treatments are reserved especially for you. We value your business and ask that you respect the spa's scheduling policies. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance.
Any cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice are subject to a cancelation fee amounting to the cost of the scheduled service. Clients who miss their appointments without giving any prior notification will be charged in full for the scheduled service. We recognize the time of our clients and staff is valuable and have implemented this policy for this reason. When you miss an appointment with us, we not only lose your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time. Additionally, many times our staff will be functioning in an "on call" status and can have travelled to the spa specifically for your service. For these reasons we are obligated to compensate our staff for their time as well as make up for the lost revenue.
When you schedule your appointment with us, you are agreeing to these policies. All services require a credit card or gift certificate to guarantee a reservation so please have your credit card and/or gift certificate ready when booking. You will not be billed unless there is a cancellation or no show. Upon checkout, guests may choose their method of payment. (Bridal parties please see bridal page for cancellation policies)
As we are located in a state park, there are times there may be a cash parking fee. Please let the receptionist know upon checking into the spa and we will reimburse half of the parking fee from your bill. Hotel guests, NYS parking pass holders and guests over 60 years old do not pay for parking.
Gratuities, although not included in our pricing, are greatly appreciated customary tipping runs 18% to 20% but is, of course, at your discretion. You may tip the therapist in the room or upon check out at the front desk with cash. Gratuities may not be charged.
Bear Mountain Spa gift certificates/cards may carry a balance and do not have to be used in one visit. You may use it for the value of the card prior to the expiration date for spa or salon services. Outside certificates (spa week) may not be used towards salon services and are a one time use (as per rules of certificate). Any balance or excess remaining on the outside card will not be able to be credited to the client. All cards/certificates are for services only. We are unable to process any returns or reimburse any payment transactions on gift certificates even if lost, misplaced or stolen .
We recommend when booking 2 or more services or any packages to call in order to ensure they are timed properly. Online booking does not guarantee a particular room . If you want to ensure a couple service, please call the spa. Groups of 3 or more should call to book appointments to make sure everyone is booked at the same time. There are limitations to online booking so if you don't see what you are looking for, give us a call.
We kindly ask that you turn your cell phones and pagers to vibrate upon arrival and to remember to speak in your very soft spa voice once you enter the spa. Please inform your therapist should you need to make a phone call so that you may do so without disturbing other spa guests. Cell phone use may affect the length of your spa services.
